Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet community situated in The West Island of Montreal is something you could call a "sleepy" location. The West Island can be confusing to people unfamiliar to its significance. It is often believed that it is an island west of Montreal However, it's actually the West Island encompasses everything between the cities of Lachine and West. Amanda Brugel was born there, but her time was not long in the city. Brugel lived in Courtice close to Oshawa Ontario. At the beginning of her life she hoped to become the next big thing in her career, but a sudden increase in her height made it difficult. According to an article by Toronto Star, she revealed that she wore heels and was 6 feet 1 inch tall. Once I surpassed the size of my male friends and stopped dancing, I quit. Bruce was among the former dancers that turned into acting. Her high school teacher school was the one who pushed her into the right direction. It was the teacher who recommended she pursue a role for the school's annual production. She was able to audition and be cast in the role of Anne of Green Gables. She was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to attend York University's Theatre Program, where she graduated at the age of 20 with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts. For the past twenty years, Brugel's roles on television and the big screen have varied. Her role as Rita from the award winning show The Handmaid's Tale was her most famous. Brugel, the only Canadian of the Season 1 actors of the series and only seen occasionally was the only Canadian.
